Our time here in Florida is rapidly coming to an end, we are leaving our RV here so it requires extra work before we leave.  We visited with TJ Gary friends.  Ron and Eileen Adams are in the same RV park.  We are now looking forward to the June reunion.

           Mini Reunion in Umatilla, Florida – Had 9 Gary sailors plus 4 wives.  Great time 5 guys had been on Operation Deepfreeze together ( you were on that if you lived in the north country this winter!)   Some traveled 3 hours to get here.  Alan Baker;  Lee Jenkins;  Ron & Sheila Day;  Gary & Pat Coager;  Ron & Eileen Adams;  Richard & Judy Markland;  Fran Betancourt;  Curtis Swaim and Frank Perrella (WWII).

            For those that enjoyed Rick Campbell’s book “The Trident Deception”, He has a new one out “Empire Rising”.   Available at Amazon & several other stores.  I will have one to raffle off at the reunion.

            2015 Reunion – Bill Buttimer and Frank Perrella did a great job in helping me set up the 2015 Reunion.


2015 Reunion   Danvers (Boston) Massachusetts

June 18-21   2015

I have contracted with the Comfort Inn (978-777-1700) 50 Dayton Street  Danvers, MA  09123 for the above dates.  Cost is $110.58 per night which includes tax.  Includes a full hot breakfast.  You must mention you are with the USS Thomas J. Gary group.  There are 2 extra days ahead and 1 after if you want to stay longer, again mention you are with the Gary group to get that rate.  Make your reservations by May 18, 2015.



Banquet Detail 

Our banquet will be Sat night at 5:30PM.   Dress is casual.  It will be held at Calitiri’s next to the hotel.  It will be a buffet including ziti/meat sauce, chicken Marsala, broiled haddock plus usual: salad, veggies, dessert etc.  Cost is $40 per person which includes tax, tip and hospitality room.  Please have your banquet reservation with money to me by June 1st so I can give them a final count.  I have to pay the bill in full before the banquet.
